Reaction To Azra Naseem - Over Reaction or Justified

I cannot help but feel great sympathy for Azra Naseem. She is a young lady who was born in the wrong country at the wrong time, and who is struggling to accept the ground realities of the place, she has little choice but to call home. A product of a Maldives so occupied with $ & £ that parents had no time to teach their children the basics and so turned them into coconuts - brown on the outside, white inside but still a c'NUT.[1]

She hates to be called a propagandist but she comes out as a wannabe propagandist selling a "secular Maldives" that she had so hoped that her beloved MDP headed by President Nasheed had sprung on Maldives forever. However in spite of Nasheed's fervent efforts (championed by people like Azra, Farah, Dr Shaheed, Ibra) at secularisation of Maldives the effort failed; for two important reasons :- 1. Democracy introduced by MAG in 2008 and 2. Islam.[2]

This explains her veiled attacks on Islam because she & like minded secularists don't have the guts to launch a frontal attack on Islam. Instead she chooses to vilify the people who are calling people to Islam. Azra is unable to hide her rabid hatred for Sheik Imran because she rightly realises that the Sheik and his fellow Sheiks were the prime movers for Nasheed's downfall. With his miraculous  downfall the dream of spreading the religion of secularism was given a painful blow. She also hates to be reminded it was also the very same Sheiks who handed her hero the presidency of Maldives on a platter.[3]

Maldives was paradoxically saved *by Democracy. What Azra and her alter egos should realise for their own sakes is that post 2008 the will of the people is supreme. The ground reality is that in Maldives an overwhelming majority of people has no hesitation in calling themselves Muslims. This being a Democratic country the Sheiks such as Imran, Iliyas have every right to express their interpretation of the sacred texts. That's their right. Those people who wish to follow them have every right to to do so and let those such as Azra oppose them as they choose.  The Constitution and the statutes being the ultimate constraint.[4]

What Azra needs to accept is that the days of authoritarianism is over*. The pitiable sight and plight of Nasheed and his MDP lusting for power is proof of that. No amount of "writings" to please the farangiis is going to change *anything. The Sheiks *are here to stay. If she and her kind want to challenge them the BEST course open is to study the texts they studied and offer an alternative  interpretation to the texts and offer it to the people- that is if they want to be effective or relevant rather than keep on whining ad infinitum.[5]

To exploit a small child's horrors at the hands of a diabolical criminal is another  form of pedophilia and no sane person should or would do it. You are doing that child irreparable damage and should be ashamed of yourself keeping the fires burning forgetting that her parents, relatives, friends would read your words and you are keeping the torture of that child going on and on[5].

Take lessons from the MPS and minister Diana. Quietly with the minimum of fuss they are taking care of the child and dealing with that 45 year beastly freak (who deserves nothing short of death by public stoning). Instead you are raking mud around that child. Truly sick![6]

Azra  & Co wake up! We are no longer under authoritarian rule. just as people from Algeria, Morroco, Libya, Iran, Lebanon, Iraq and now Syria WHEN given freedom to choose, ALL overwhelmingly chose proponents of Islam and the secularists were relegated to their dingy holes. Remember the secularist Saddam Hussain found in a spider hole, Gaddafi found in a sewage pipe. TAKE LESSONS![7]

One final thought - to pray, fast, go on Hadj pay Zakat can be the most exhilarating of experiences and staying away from Alchol, eating pork, staying away from Zinna, usury really could be pretty Liberating - if we would only give ourselves a half a chance.[8

Over reaction is too mild a description. Dr Azra raises the valid issue of politicising Islam. Who can dare deny it? Also Dr Azra draws our attention to the religious scholars working to install certain cultural preferences of india, Pakistan and Mideast concerning girls and women. Who would disagree that Maldives has a binding contract with GMR? Yet we have the Adalath preachers taking the stand to dishonour the contract. Why cannot you see these obvious issues harming the interests of Maldives? We see this as an attack on Dr Azre for raising some pressing questions facing Maldives.

Ahmed bin Addu bin Suvadheeb on Mon, 12th Nov 2012 as posted in a comment in MN.

Islamists and their kin are having a field day criticising the author of the article and taking refuge with the age old tactic of feeling sorry for themselves.
The so-called “westerners” are not the only ones who are critical of certain sections of the Muslim community. There are millions of Muslims who find their behaviour abhorrent.

This longing for a “Khilafa” is laughable. The “Khilafa” never even got started! Abu Bakar, the companion of Mohammed, just about survived to leave behind the legacy of Mohammed. Caliph Uthman and Ali were murdered by power hungry politicians of the day. The “Khilafa” was embroiled in rivalry, back stabbing and political instability ever since, until the Ottoman Turks finally lost power.

Here’s another lesson from history. The tragedy of Al-Andhalus is no accident. Muslims brought that upon themselves. The city of Cordoba under Muslims was at one time, the greatest city on earth! Did you know that rival Muslims actually fought alongside Christians in the “re-conquest” of Cordoba? The Caliph of Cordoba knelt on his knees and handed the keys to that great city to the victorious Christians who were helped to the cause by fellow Muslims in return for land and power. And, no this is not just a handful of politicians conniving against each other. This is Muslim society bringing the downfall of their brothers and sisters. Nothing much has changed to this day.

I fear that most of the people who are claiming for this romantic idea of a “Khilafa” have no idea of the violent history of the politicians that led Muslims from the 7th century onwards. If, instead of blaming others, these Muslims started looking at their own failings, they might even realise a way out of their sad state of affairs.
What’s the overall human development level of Muslim countries? How much do Muslims contribute to learning and advancement of knowledge (as instructed in the Quran)? How many Muslims enjoy the freedoms that Allah gave them instead of being oppressed by power/wealth hungry dictators?

A reality check, every now and then may be in order. Get your own house in order, before blaming others for your plight.

Politicising Islam? This point of view begs the question WHAT IS ISLAM?

Yusuf said...

Islam starts as a personal thing between you and your lord. The individual is committed to total submission to the Will of His Creator. From this submission he derives peace. The very nature of Islam is such that it attracts ones family, neighbours and friends to the person practising Islam. If its done properly it's inevitable just like a sponge absorbs water.

Very soon the one person at the beginning becomes two, three, 4, 5 then the whole family, then the neighbourhood and very soon the area and ultimately the whole village.

Now every person in this collective want to be committed completely to their Creators Will.....

This is WHY the so called politicising of Islam takes place. It is inevitable when people practise Islam. Of course the start of the road is the personal relationship between the Creator and the individual. When this relationship is nurtured receives the Creators Blessing then like a snowflake rolls into a huge snow ball that takes everything in its path resulting this massive force pulling us to do good.

This is how Islam becomes politicised. This term for the believer means just striving to submit her life to the Will of the Creator in order to attain peace!

Dear Brothers & sisters

I'm afraid that I'm no longer able to devote my full attention to this blog. I invite you to submit your contribution God Willing I would publish it.

I have always maintained that I believe that we should give the opportunity to express oneself. However nasty a comment is I believe it offers us great lessons. For instance it teaches us what we should avoid as a human being. Also it exposes the fruits of ones belief system; and from that we have much to learn.

I chose to publish this particular reactionto Dr Azrah's comment. Thats one point of view and I have corrected the English to the best of my ability. If any brother has difficulty in expressing in English as I have repeatedly said it would be my pleasure to correct your English or even translate and publish your views. The whole point of this blog is to offer different points of view. Dr Azrah expressed her point of view. What was published was a different point of view. If it benefits the reader well and good. If it doesn't so be it. We are not forcing anyone to read what's written here.

Islam is a fascinating and extremely versatile way of life which offers much to everyone - whether a believer or not. It evokes great passions in people and from it all we have much to learn. From a Dr Azra, a Yusuf or a Sheik Imran.

What I really miss are the literally tens and tens of Koranic verses and The Prophets pbuh Hadis that brothers and sisters shared with each other. We had the Yusuf,s Thakurus, Ahmed,s Amina,s and Aisha,s who really shared so much here. Insha Allah they would strive again- for our common good insha Allah.

I have said too much already!

Peace

Can I simply say what a comfort to discover somebody who actually understands what they're talking about over the internet. You certainly know how to bring an issue to light and make it important. More people have to read this and understand this side of your story. I was surprised that you're not more popular since you certainly have the gift.

PROPHET MUHAMMAD (pbuh) IN HINDUSIAM PART- 1 – By Dr Zakir Naik.

Name of KALKI AVTAR
According to Kalki Puran the name of Kalki Avtar will be "SARWANAMA".

The meaning of "ANAMA" is praised one and "SARW" mean most of all, so "Sarwanama" means the most praised one and in Arabic language "Muhammad " has the same meaning, if we translate Sanskrit word Sarwanama in to Arabic language it will be "Muhammad" only difference is the language.

Parents of KALKI AVTAR
"He will be born from "SOOMATI" and his father's name will be "VAISHNUVESH"." (Kalki Puran 2, Shloka II)

VAISHNUVESH and SOOMATI means servant of God (the cherisher) and peace, respectively. Prophet Muhammad father's name was ABDULLAH in Arabic language, which means God's servant, and his mother's name was AMINA in Arabic language, which means peace, so if we translate Sanskrit word "Vaishnuvesh & Soomati" in Arabic language it will be "Abdullah & Amina". So again the difference of language.

Place of Birth
"HE will be born at "SHAMBAL GARAM" in VAISHNUVESH'S Brahmin Mahant's (religious saint) respectable house" (Bhagwat Puran, Khand 12, Shloka 18 and Kalki Puran Adhay 2, Shloka 4)

SHAMBAL mean peace and GARAM mean city or village, so SHAMBAL GARAM means a peace full city or city of peace, and this quality & name has been specified only for Arabia's city "MAKKAH" no other city in the world has been named city of peace. In the Holy Quran this city has been called as "ALBALAD ALAMEEN" which mean peace full city or city of peace. For reference see Holy Quran (14:35) O God, make it (Makkah) a City of Peace". And Makkah is the city where prophet Muhammad (PBUH) born.

BRAHMIN MAHANT mean religious saint and Makkah's religious and respectable saint was "Hasham", then "Mutlib", then Hasham's son "Abdul Mutlib" became the religious saint of Makkah, who was the grand father of prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and during the period of religious saint Muhammad was born in home of Abdullah son of Abdul Mutlib. In short, Muhammad was born in the respectable tribe of Quraish who enjoyed great respect and high place in Makkah. So according to scripture Kalki Avtar will be born in Brahmin Mahant's (religious saint) respectable family.

Date of Birth OF KALKI AVTAR
* He will be born in the month of Bisakh on 12th day (Kalki Puran Adhay 2, Shloka 15)

Baisakh is famous month in Hindi, which is still known with this name. According to Hindi calendar Muhammad was born on 12th Baisakh of 628 Bakrami, and this day according to Arabic calendar is 12th Rabiyyyul Awwal. So the date of birth matches with Kalki Avtar.

The Period of KALKI AVTAR
Kalki Avtar would ride horse, camel and keep the sword to kill the devil and enemies of religion.

It mean that Kalki Avtar will be born in the past time when horse and camel were used for riding and sword was being used for fight. And in this period and in the coming future people will use cars, train & planes for riding and guns, missiles will be use for fighting. So it is now useless to wait for Avtar in future. We should not forget that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was borne during the time of horse & camel, and he fought with sword during battles against infidels.

Death of KALKI AVTAR'S PARENTS
Kalki Avtar's Father will die before his birth and his Mother will die after few years of his birth. (Kalki Puran, Bhaghwat Puran Khand 12)

These two indications clearly fit on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). His Father died few days earlier of his birth and his Mother died when Muhammad was only six year old. For reference please study the life history of prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

PROPHET MUHAMMAD (pbuh) IN HINDUSIAM PART- 2 – By Dr Zakir Naik.

KALKI AVTAR will get wisdom on a mountain
According to Kalki Puran, the Kalki Avtar will receive wisdom or knowledge on a mountain's cave from PERSHURAM (angle).

As every one knows that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was busy in his pray in a cave of mountain "HIRA" and there one day an Angle (Gabriel) appeared and brought the first revelation from God. For reference Holy Quran (96:1) "Read (Prophet Muhammad) with the name of Allah" and he replied " I am not learned" the same indication was given in the Christian's scripture (Isaiah chapter 29 verse 12) " and the book delivered to him that is not learned, saying " Read this", I pray thee: and he said, I am not learned", this is another prove of his prophecy. So prophet Muhammad received his first revelation in the cave of mountain HIRA. And this prediction also fit on him.

Angels will help during war
Kalki Avtar will be helped by angels during war. (Kalki Puran Adhay 2, Shloka 7)

This prediction also fit on prophet Muhammad (PBUH), when during the battle of UHAD, BADR etc. God sent His Angels for his help. For reference see Holy Quran (3:123,124,125) "And Allah must assuredly helped you at Badr when you were mortified, therefore fear Allah, in order that you will give thanks to Him. When you said to the believers, is it not enough for you that your Lord should reinforce you with three thousand (3,000) angels sent down upon you? Rather, if you have patience and cautions, and they suddenly come against you, your Lord will reinforce you with five thousand (5,000) angles"

Holy Quran (9:25) " Allah has helped you on many a battlefield.

KALKI AVTAR will be the the last AVTAR
There are 24 main Prophet, but Kalki Avtar will be the last one, who will be the end (seal) of all Prophets. (Bhagwat Puran Partham Khand Adhay 3, Shloka 25)

No Prophet except Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has declared him as the last Prophet and it is the faith of every Muslim that Prophet Muhammad is the last Prophet and no Prophet will come after him. God Himself declared Muhammad (PBUH) as the last Prophet. For reference see (Holy Quran 33.40) " he (Muhammad) is the messenger of Allah and the Seal of Prophets, and Allah is aware of all things .." and in another place God says, " .. This day I have perfected your religion for you and completed my favor to you. I have approved Islam to be your religion ..." (5.3)

Another interesting thing is that, in the Holy Quran there are 25 Prophets mentioned by name including Prophet Ahmed (Muhammad) himself, so there were 24 main Prophets before Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). So these two predictions also fit on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

A Flying horse from GOD
He will receive a flying horse from God, which will be faster than lightning. Riding it he will go around earth and seven skies" (Bhagwat Puran Khand 12, Adhay 2, Shloka19-20)

This prediction is about Kalki Avtar also match with the Incidence of "MIRAJ" For reference see Holy Quran (17.1) and for detail Hadith s of prophet Muhammad (PBUH) regarding Incidence of Miraj. According to these references Prophet Muhammad traveled the seven skies and there he met with previous Prophets, and for this God gave him a horse name BARQ which mean lightning and word Miraj mean height and ladder. Please study life history of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for details.

"In the religious books of Hindus, it is mentioned that the staple food of Kalki Avatar would be dates and olives and he would be the most honest and truthful person in the region. Without any doubt the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) is acclaimed to possess these qualities."

The matter of the lesser evil is highly debatable, but I definitly will say NO to the coup. Any justifications to the coup was never agreed upon by the scholars prior to the coup. Specially not when the public was able to come out nd smash the monument, specially not when the protesters were able protest and stop the alchohol bills. Im not trying to defend any of this, all Im saying is the coup is NOT justifiable.
