REFLECTIONS ON DEATH.

REFLECTIONS ON DEATH.
HOW MALDIVIAN SONS AND DAUGHTERS LET DOWN PRESIDENT NASIR IN HIS HOUR OF NEED.

Yes. Today’s events show us that no matter how rich you get, no matter how powerful you get there is one tryst that you cannot postpone or cancel. That is your meeting with death.

Since we all have this appointment coming up, it’s well worth finding out about death. Mmmmmmmmmm the literature available out there from reliable sources is to put mildly very limited. I can refer anyone who would like to know more about this subject to the Glorious Koran and Hadis.

In the Koran and Hadis, Allah who decides the hour, time and circumstances of ones death give you startling details regarding death and thereafter. The very first minute one’s soul leaves his/her body, one discovers that one enters a new dimension .........

- where he/she is very much aware of all the happenings around him….. The Koran that teaches the fundamentals of Islam explains “death” as follows: “Every SOUL will taste DEATH!” And Also .... And the stupor of death will bring Truth (before his eyes): "This was the thing which thou wast trying to escape!"

Following is a saying of prophet Mohammed - pboh about death as the great Islamic Scholar and Sufi Ibrahim Hakki Erzurumi recounts it in his book titled “Marifatname (Book of Gnosis):"

The deceased (one who tasted death) knows those who washed his body, who shrouded the corpse, who performed the funeral service for him, who attended his funeral procession, who descended the corpse into the grave and who prompted over his grave!

Do not cry out by slapping your cheeks and tearing your clothes beside the deceased for he is tortured by your wailing!” ---- This shows that he will be seeing and feeling troubled of the others' emotional states. Examining other sources -----

Omar r.a observing how the prophet spoke of the dead, and how he spoke to the dead …….. asked: “O RasulAllah! How do you address people already cadaverous?” RasulAllah replied: “I swear by Whom in whose hands Mohammed's soul is that you are no better than they at hearing what I say!”

Very soon; as we learn from elsewhere in available lit, the dead person would have to make the journey to his/her grave. On this last journey we are told family with friends, his wealth and his action – good and bad would all go with him to the grave. Alas! Not to stay.

When the last mounds of earth hit him, 6 feet under, with an impregnable darkness descending on him, everyone prepares to leave. ALL LEAVE. Not quite, all leave except his/her actions. Lo! and behold! One would discover that one is conscious - in another dimension!

You! - would really feel the oppressiveness of the damp, dark, confines of this terrible abode. The worms, the centipedes and the bacteria are already tearing your flesh apart. And as if that’s not enough you are acutely aware of these two angels whose names you will discover (if not known to you already) are Munker and Nakir.

There in the grave, they would conduct your interrogation – That which was forewarned by the prophet -pboh. The first questions being - Who is your Lord? And who is your messenger?

…………….Then depending on your answers, By Allah’s WILL, you would live in REAL TIME the trials of the Grave which are severe, oppressive and so pregnant with threats for those who reject Allah and WHO ARE FORGETFUL of Allah. The reality of death and the life beyond is described in some detail in the Koran and Hadis in some detail.

I have selected but a few snippets of information, for this reminiscence on death. I hope that you would read and by Allah’s Grace, think of your inevitable death and so do your own research into death, life in the Grave, Life in the World of grave, and . World of Barzakh Life. This is the dimension of life which is experienced by the martyrs (shahid) who have died on the path to “ALLAH”.

I hope I would pique your curiosity enough for you to verify what I write, and even better to read the Koran and Hadis yourself, with the subject of death and what follows after death, in mind. If you are lazy, then, at least ask someone who has taken the time to read the Koran and Hadis himself and in whom you see his life changed for the better.

An acid test that I use myself is to see how much the person spends time in prayer to Allah, whilst most sleep - a sign of sincerity, piety and TAQWA. Also observe his appearence, dress, manner of speech, behaviour and how reacts with his fellow human beings and his Muslim brother. All these would reflect his humilty before Allah.

I will now share with you, a few more bits and pieces of information that I gleaned, when I did my own research………. Othman r.a, answered: “As I have heard from RasulAllah, the grave is certainly the first of stations in the next world! If a person is freed from there, it will be easier to be released from the others to come. If he fails to become free from there, the others to come will then be fiercer!”. Othman –r.a then continued: RasulAllah said that: “I have never seen a TERRIBLE sight worse than that in a grave!”

Standing by the grave of Sadd bin Muaz who was a leading Islamic figure and martyr for the Islam (shahid), RasulAllah (salla’llahu aleyhe wasallam) once said: “Such a distinguished servant was he that heaven trembled and its doors were opened for him and thousands of angels came on earth. Even he felt so squeezed into the grave that his bones almost crackled! If it were possible to escape from the torment of the grave and the afflictions after death, it would first have been bestowed on Sadd! He was immediately delivered from such afflictions owing just to the spiritual state he had reached; that is all

It was once asked of Hazrat Nabi: “O RasulAllah! Who is the most aware and conscious among the believers?” He answered: “Those who most often remember what befalls a man on death and who prepare themselves doing their best for such a life beyond death. They are the wisest, the most conscious and aware ones."

In another statement he noted that: “The most conscious and the most farther-sighted man is he who makes himself (his soul) subject to divine orders and who deals with the deeds that will bring benefit after death. Weak is he who remains dependent on his own (selfish) desires and then expects favor from ALLAH!”

Ibn Masud who was among the companions (ashab) of RasulAllah, tells the following about the torment in grave: “As I have heard from RasulAllah: “Sinners will surely be exposed to the punishment (azab) of the grave; the beasts even have a sense of hearing their cries.”

Narrated Abu Said al Khudri: RasulAllah (salla’llahu aleyhe wasallam) notified: “The unbeliever is obsessed by ninety nine monsters in his grave, each biting and stinging him until Doomsday. If any one of them had ever breathed over the earth, no grass would ever be able to grow then!”

Narrated Ibn Omar radhi'allahu ahn: RasulAllah notified: “When anyone of you dies, he is shown his place both by day and night. If he is one of the people of paradise; he is shown his place in it, and if he is from the people of Hell-Fire, he is shown his place there-in. Then it is said to him: ‘This is your place till ALLAH will resurrect (baa'th) you on the Day of Resurrection!”

Abdullah bin Omar told about this point. During a talk with RasulAllah about two angels known as Munker and Nakir who examine people in their graves, Hz. Omar asked: “O RasulAllah! Are we going to be awake in the grave?” “Of course. The same as you are now!”

Lets now also hear Anas radhi'allahu ahn: …………………

“RasulAllah (salla’llahu aleyhe wasallam) said: When a servant is laid in his grave and his companions return, he even hears their footsteps leaving his grave. As they get away, two angels come up to him, make him sit up and then ask: ‘What did you used to say about this man named Mohammed?’ If he is a faithful believer, he will answer: ‘I bear witness that Mohammed is the servant of ALLAH and ALLAH's Messenger.’ On his answer, it will be said to him: ‘Have a look at your place in the Hell-Fire! ALLAH has replaced it for you with a place in Paradise.’" "RasulAllah added: He will then see his places both in Paradise and in Hell.

But if he is a non-believer or a hypocrite, (a Muslim by name,) he will answer: ‘I do not have a certain idea. . . nothing more than what the people used to say!’ It will be said to him: ‘Neither did you know nor take the guidance!’ Then he will be beaten by a mallet, and he will send such a cry that will be heard by whatever near to him except human beings and jinni!” (Bukhari)

Let’s summarize the few bytes of information that we have on death …..

* Human beings NEVER DIE, BUT TASTE DEATH; so his dimension of life changes.
* Therefore, awake is everybody when they are put into grave..
* So when DEATH is experienced, the person's perception of the external world still continues for some more time. Just the same as though he had been living within his biological body, he follows what is going on around himself, hears people's conversations and their wailing..
* During that period he feels as if a patient in a permanent vegetative state. He observes all events from outside, however he cannot communicate any response to the outside world.

Thus, ………......

Just like a man who is conscious of his environment and meantime falls into sleep into a world of dreams, someone in the grave perceives the occurrences inside his physical grave as well as outside. Meanwhile he is about to begin his journey into HIS OWN WORLD of GRAVE.

Right then two angels come up and ask three questions: “Who is your Lord?”, “Who is your Nabi?” and “What is your Book?” -

So when the drama of President Nasir unfolded before my eyes I couldn’t help but wonder, what he was feeling at the use of his earthly body as a monkey circus. Every knock and bump would have been felt as an excruciating agony and a punishment.

And in his honour were President Nasheed and Vice President Wahid. What shining examples of Godliness, piety and moral mountains! Poor President Nasir! How many hours had poor President Nasir had to endure the indignity of not being buried? What pain did he undergo to have his body desecrated - by embalming; only a few would know of what happens there - at the undertakers. (Those who read the Godfather by Mario Puzzo would know!).

How many Maldivians to date have undergone such disrespect on his dead body? How many Maldivians had the indignity of not being buried - 100% - as per Muslim custom? Who in Maldives ever had the indignity of having his dead body subjected to the customs of the Kuffar in death? THIS IS AN IGNOMIABLE FIRST – With all its implications.

Poor President Nasir – Ultimately that was his pathetic and painful end. Do you seriously think that President Nasir benefited in anyway from that circus? Did the people, the Govt and his family do any favors to President Nasir? – May God forgive and Bless him, and Grant him Allah’s Mercy.

Those of us who took part in this charade, Lets pray and beg Allah that in death our bodies, and those of our loved ones and all Muslims; are not subjected to the disrespect, agony and the ultimate horror of been treated in the customs of the Kuffar. Yes! Probably the only custom that all the Kafirs in the world irrespective of their varied beliefs; are united in, – subjecting their dead to the ultimate disrespect and pain of the undertakers needles, knife and saw.

WE HAVE SO MUCH TO LEARN IN DEATH. May Allah bless you, my reader. Please forgive me if I sound harsh. I sincerely pray to Allah that He Bless President Nasir. Let us remember Allah, and think of our own deaththe only event that we are absolutely certain would take place, at the appointed time. Please do realize that any mistakes here are mine; please correct me if I’m wrong. Allah will Bless you for that.

Finally I leave with you one of the most beautiful and touching Hadis on brotherhood, that I find sooooooooo loving and oh! Sooooooooo touching in its simplicity…. God’s Messenger (God Bless him and give him peace!) said:
TWO BROTHERS ARE LIKENED TO A PAIR OF HANDS, ONE OF WHICH WASHES THE OTHER.

Yes, HELP!

Rabia's prayer..

Lord, the night is gone.
The dawn has lighted the sky.
How I long to know if You accepted or rejected my prayers.
Comfort me, Lord, for only you can comfort this state of mine.
You gave me life and nurtured me; Yours is all the praise.

If You would ever drive me away from Your door,
I would never abandon it for the sake of Your love,
which I carry in my heart.

It is reported that the Messenger of God said: "Allah is beautiful and He loves beauty".

It is Allah who made the world and brought it into existence. The entire universe is therefore supremely beautiful.

I see the point. If we keep death in mind, and the horrors there. Nobody who is convinced can go on as if there was only his life and enjoyment to consider. This article is too lonhg and very painful. I did not think about Naasir in this angle. I dont think anybody did. Naasir was unlucky man but ok because was 80.

what do you want proof for?
Sorry, but I'm a bit dumb. So please spell it out for me. Say something like this ---- I want proof for 1. ... 2. ... etc.

2. -
You say - "ACCEPT the fact that it is OK for someone else to accept whatever he wants to believe in". ……..

I ask you; Who am I to accept or refuse what someone else believes in? It’s not my business.
As for being OK or not for you to believe in something – Isn’t there a Koranic verse to say that there is no compulsion in religion?

… I give you the reference….
002.256
: Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things.

Also…
16:82 But if they turn away from you, (O Prophet remember that) your only duty is a clear delivery of the Message (entrusted to you).

You also said “ I'm talking of my brother Maldivians who want to be left alone as secularists, atheists, or God knows whatever else they think up today. This country cannot move forward without everyone starting to think this way!” …….

I think it’s always tempting to talk on behalf of others. When you do so you are invading someone else’s space. :-):-)

"The Religion in the sight of Allah is Islam." (Qur'an 3:19)

In another verse of the Holy Qur'an, Allah states:

"If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (Submission to Allah), Never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost."(Qur'an 3:85)

Any room for contentiom? Short, Sweet and to the point.

The Prophet (PBUH) reported that Allah said, "I created my servants in the right religion but devils made them go astray".

The Prophet (PBUH) also said, "Each child is born in a state of "Fitrah", then his parents make him a Jew, Christian or a Zoroastrian, the way an animal gives birth to a normal offspring. Have you noticed any that were born mutilated?" (Collected by Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim).

According to an OLD FABLE, a man made an unusual agreement with Hazrat Izraeel (pbuh) - the angel of death. He told Izraeel (pbuh) that he would be willing to accompany him (as though he had a choice) only if Izraeel (pbuh) would send him a notice well in advance. The agreement was made.

Weeks became months and the months into years. One bitterly cold night, as the man sat alone thinking of his success in life, Izraeel (pbuh) tapped on his shoulder. "You are here too soon" the man cried out. "You sent no messenger. I thought we had an agreement!"

Izraeel (pbuh) whispered "Notice your hair, once it was full and black, now it has streaks of silver in it! Observe your face in the mirror and see the wrinkles. Yes! I have sent many messages through the years! I have kept my part. I am sorry that you are not ready for me but the order of Almighty God cannot be averted!"

The Day of Judgment is a fixed day in the future when everyone will be brought to stand before their Creator, Allah, to account for all that they did in their life. Those who believed in Him and practiced righteousness, will be rewarded and those who were irresponsible and practiced evil will be punished severely. Many people, however, have already passed away and are still waiting for the Day of Judgment in their graves.

For those who believed and did good in this life, their grave will be spacious and well lit. Their deeds will come to them in the form of a handsome attendant who will speak kindly and keep them company till the Day of Judgment. From their graves, they will be able to see their place in Paradise. They will beg Allah to bring the Day soon, so that they can receive their reward as soon as possible.

For those who did not believe in Allah or did evil in this world, their grave will be very dark, tight and restrictive, so much so that they will feel their ribs crossing over each other in the middle of their chest. Their deeds will come to them in the form of an ugly and mean attendant. From their graves, they will be able to see their place in Hellfire. They will beg Allah not to bring the Day of Judgment so that they would not suffer what is in store for them.

There is a wealth of information available to those who would like to know more about this key issue for all of mankind. All we need to do is read the Qur’an and books of hadith that deal with this subject. The truth about the next life is easily accessible in these two sources.

If there is only one thing certain about life, it is that it ends. This truism instinctively raises a question which preoccupies most people at least once in their life: What lies beyond death?

Are you not interested?

Anonymous said...

The journey of the soul after death is not something that can be witnessed, nor can it be gauged through scientific enquiry, with the present available technology. This limitation of technology in the times that we live in, makes it impossible to subject the human soul, of a person to empirical experimentation. It is simply beyond human knowledge, which is limited to the dimensions of time and space.
Thus, it follows that the concept of a Hereafter - a life beyond death, resurrection, and a Day of Reckoning; not to mention the existence of a Divine, Omnipotent Creator, His angels, destiny, and so on - comes under the subject of belief in the unseen. Therefore the only way in which man can come to know anything of the unseen world is through divine revelation......

“And with God are the keys of the unseen, none knows them but He. And He knows whatever there is in (or on) the earth and in the sea; not a leaf falls, but He knows it. There is not a grain in the darkness of the earth, nor anything fresh or dry, but is written in a Clear Record.” (Quran 6:59)

I hope this sheds some light to this complex topic.

The depth of knowledge we have concerning the journey of the soul after death - its precision and detail, is a manifest sign that Muhammad* was truly God’s Last Messenger to humanity.

In which other religious scripture except in the Koran and Hadis do you get this minutiae about life after death?

The revelation Muhammad* received and then communicated to us from His Lord is as unambiguous in its description of the afterlife as it comprehensive.

Allah Akbar!

The Day of Judgment
“That Day, a man shall flee from his brother; from his mother and his father; from his wife and his children. For on that Day, every man will have enough to make him indifferent to others.” (Quran 80:34-37)
Prophet Muhammad, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him, related from his Lord:
God says, “By My Glory and Majesty, I will not give My slave two securities and two terrors. If he feels secure from Me in the world, I will instill fear in him on the Day when I gather My slaves together; and if he fears Me in the world, I will make him feel safe on the Day when I gather My slaves together.”
Finally ..
“Unquestionably, for the allies of God there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve: those who believed and used to fear God (in this life); for them are good tidings in the worldly life and in the Hereafter. No change is there in the words of God. Indeed in that is the great success.” (Quran 10:62-64)

Your post is short but the answers are long. In the interests of completeness I’m posting a few posts - all numbered for easy reference .

Pls read carefully. I’m NOT ARGUING. There are many reasons your call to secularism DOES NOT APPLY TO ISLAM N MUSLIMS. May Allah Guide us. Pls correct me if I’m wrong. Allah knows best.

1. Render unto Caesar what’s Caesar’s is your maxim. I’m surprised that you cannot see that any Muslim knows that Caesar had nothing. His own life was not his. Everything belongs to God.

So we Muslims render unto God what’s Gods. Everything belongs to God. Thus in the way we eat, drink, interact with our fellow human beings, and conduct all our affairs from the time we wake- up to when we sleep; in all these we have rights owed to God, which takes unconditional precedence over any rights to any man or creature.

Jasmine said...

@ secular kid
2. Secular kid – You talk of proof…. I respectfully put to you that you must try to speak only for yourself. In my case as millions of Muslims the world over; we have irrefutable proof for our beliefs, that satisfy us.

Its sad you don’t have proofs. Maybe you have not searched enough. Also pleases note that religion as understood in the
English language is not the same as DEEN understood in our language.

For a Muslim his DEEN – IS a way of life and cannot be just a personal thing AS YOU SUGGEST.
In this “way of life” the way we interact with other CREATURES is not a personal thing. WE ARE ANSWERABLE to God.

The domain of Deen where we behave in relation to God - that alone is a personal thing between the slave and its CREATOR. I hope you see the nuance

Jasmine, is the secular kid the only one here?

Jasmine said...

@ secualr kid - Regarding seculism per se...

3. Secularism as an answer to Mans progress historically is peculiar to the Christian West, and its former colonies. This was due to the fact with the ravages of time they allowed God’s word or guidance to BE LOST BEYOND RECOGNITION.

As a direct result, they had the CLERGY without DIVINE GUIDENCE trying to enslave the masses and hold the people enslaved to the Church/ Temple. As such, the Church/clergy brutally suppressed any form of progress that they saw as a threat to the rule of the Church.

Many scientists and people were burnt alive because the Church saw them as a threat to their hold on peoples' lives. That’s the reason why in the Christian west there was such opposition of the scientists and educated class against the Church.

Further the treatment of women in Christian West was horrendous; where until mid 19th century it was debated if women had a soul like men or if they were akin to animals withou souls. As such women had NO LEGAL staus and was ONLY treated as chattel, in the Christian West.

After the Great wars, with the power of the Church broken, and the educated class and women getting the long awaited upper-hand; reacted negatively to anything remotely connected to CHURCH and religion. For the masses RELIGION WAS SYNONIMUS TO CHURCH. All forms of interference by the Church had ZERO TOLERANCE. Religion was banished from the lives of the masses and the Churches emptied dramatically. THINKERS LIKE MARX SAW THAT THEIR RELIGION - CHRISTIANITY WAS LIKE OPIUM - A quick fix that did not address their problems here and now.

That’s the reason for secularism taking root in the Christian West. That DOES NOT APPLY TO ISLAM.

Sorry...............To be continued. my time is up! :-)

As Muhammad -sal, was God’s final Prophet and Messenger, his mission was a universal one, intended for not only his own nation, the Arabs, but all the peoples of the world. The Prophet said:

“Every other Prophet was sent to his nation exclusively, while I have been sent to all of humanity.” (Saheeh Al-Bukhari)

“And We have not sent you (O Muhammad) except as a bearer of glad tidings and a Warner to all mankind, but most of people know not.” (Quran 34:28)

In the ranks of the Prophet Muhammad’s Companions could be found Africans, Persians, Romans and Israelites; representatives of every known continent.

As the Prophet said:

Thinking of death I agree would help us to live better, if we remember the horrow if we disobey. But we don’t think of it until someone known dies. Then too forgets fast. Its not easy. In life there are many more things to make us think than death. Work, home, friends, money, health. These are problems of now. We don’t genraly think of after death. Honestly who does?

Anonymous said...

@ Nov.27, 2008 :6.22 AM
I agree to some extent with you. Of course lots and lots of people don’t think of death and what follows and live as they please. Comparatively less people think of death and what follows, and live their lives as God ordered. I think we also know that many more people end up in hell than in heaven. That’s Gods decree.

We cannot change that. However the prophet tells us I believe that we won’t be good Muslims until we want for our brother what we want for ourselves. Since we want for ourselves success after death, by thinking of deaths pains and then adjusting life to avoid that pain…… we must want the same for our bro/sis. That’s why all of us are reminding our bro/sis. It’s up to them to make use of this reminder or not.

Look at the many verses people have posted. Every verse, every hadis has some use, and advice. And by Gods Grace, the person who took the trouble would be rewarded by God. And many bro/sis reading that would ask God’s blessing on the person who wrote it. Everytime I read a Verse or Hadis God-willing I will ask blessings on the person who took time.

Why do they not study the Quran carefully? If it were from other than GOD, they would have found in it numerous contradictions. (Quran 4:82)

Say, "If all the humans and all the jinns banded together in order to produce a Quran like this, they could never produce anything like it, no matter how much assistance they lent one another." (Quran 17:88)

Or they may say, "He forged it" Say, "Bring ye then ten Suras forged, like unto it, and call (to your aid) whomsoever ye can, other than God!- if ye speak the truth! If they fail to meet your challenge, then know that this is revealed with GOD's knowledge, and that there is no god except He. Will you then submit? (Quran 11:13-14)

Or do they say, "He forged it"? Say: "Bring then one Sura like unto it, and call (to your aid) anyone you can, besides God if it be ye speack the truth!" (10:38)
Indeed, they have rejected this without studying and examining it, and before understanding it. Thus did those before them disbelieve. Therefore, note the consequences for the transgressors. (10:39)

If you have any doubt regarding what we revealed to our servant, then produce one sura like these, and call upon your own witnesses or helpers (if there are any) besides GOD, if you are truthful. (2:23)
If you cannot do this - and you can never do this - then beware of the Hellfire, whose fuel is people and rocks; it awaits the disbelievers.(2:24)

We shall show them Our signs on the horizons and within themselves until it will become clear to them that it is the Truth. Does it not suffice that your Lord is Witness over all things? (41:53)

Nay here are signs self-evident in the hearts of those endowed with knowledge: And none but the unjust reject our signs." (29:49)

@ all secularists out there.

When you call to lead your lives as what your ego asks you to do, have you even bothered to read the koran to consider what God tells you there?

Have you answered the call of Allah to read his Koran, to reflect on it and to meditate on it?

DOES THIS KORANIC VERSE APPLY TO YOU ??????

Indeed, they have rejected this without studying and examining it, and before understanding it. Thus did those before them disbelieve. Therefore, note the consequences for the transgressors. (10:39)

Have you examined the consequences of REJECTING THE KORAN? The comsequences are dire, and spelt out in the KOran and Hadis.

@ all you bro/sis in Islam.
Our friend Saami is trying his best to provoke you. Don’t give him the satisfaction.

Remember Allah tells us --- for Muslims, in the prophet we have the perfect model. The prophet did not respond to evil with evil. He always responded to evil with something that was good. In Taif when he was abused he responded with prayers for the wicked, and beged Allah to give him strength to follow Allah's path.

Also the prophet advised us to guard our tongues. Because the tongue could lead us to disaster. So lets not follow Saami's example.

Also it’s a Koranic principle that eye for an eye is the standard. However the Koran reminds us there is a degree higher that we Muslims can strive for – and that is to forgive for the sake of Allah. So lets forgive this Saami

Yes. The prophet was a mercy unto mankind. Good, honourable and exemplary charcter and with such sweet manners and always obedient to Allah. To friends and foe he was "Al Amin" So with all these in mind, lets not respond to provocations by Saami. We are after all trying to follow Allah's guidence.

May Allah Bless Saami and make him see light.

We are living here and now. Each person has a conscience and there is something called universal good and bad. Feed the poor is good. To kill is bad. If you follow this, you will remain a human being and won’t turn into an animal gone bad.

Look at the monsters in Mumbai. 195 human beings killed, hundreds wounded and a whole city living in fear. Sept 11, 2001 – thousands killed, thousands wounded, the whole world trrorised. Whats common in both the madness? Islam.

Who can deny this? This is why we need to REBOOT. DO AWAY THE MUMBO JUMBO. This is why secularism is what we need.

Faqir, nothing is more beneficial to you than true sincerity with your Lord in what he has commanded you to do and in what He has forbidden you.

By Allah, if you were like that with Him, you would see wonders since Allah Almighty says, "If they had been true to Allah, it would have been better for them."

By Allah, if we were true with Him, our enemy would be true with us.

By Allah, if we were to restrain our abuse of the servants of Allah, our Lord would defend us against every harm and abuse. Then we would only experience good from everything, and we would not see any evil in anything. The one who used to harm us would not harm us, and the one who used to cut us off would not cut us off.

We will only have this after the death, obliteration, disappearance, departure and extinction of our nafs, and after our annihilation to our annihilation.

Peace!

She went to her grave yesterday. I was her incurable disease. I broke her hart. Jasmine, I’m guilty. God Gave me the chance to make her smile. I chose to lead my own life, bringing pain upon pain to her.
I lead my life as if there is no tomorrow. For her, there is no morrow. She gave and gave. I took and took – Bled her white. Now I want to be punished. I wait. Tomorrow, my child unborn, will he be the heartless executioner, that would let floor my pain until death? Like I did to my dear mother - now. I pain. Her sobs ring in my ears. Her pleading, hopeless eyes stare from far. I can’t take this no more. What do I do? You speak of death as if you knew. For me it’s too late. I’m reduced to this. Avoiding the accusing stares of friends and near ones, now I turn to face book, the world web for I don’t know what!

A man from among the Ansar got up and said: "O Prophet of Allah, who is the most sagacious and the most prudent among the people?" He replied: "Those who are most aware of death and prepare themselves for it. They are the wisest of people and will have honor in this world and a generous reward in the Hereafter'." Ibn 'Umar also said that Allah's Messenger, peace be upon him, said: "You should remember the reality that brings an end to all worldly joys and pleasures, namely, death." (Both hadith are narrated by At-Tabarani with a sound chain of narrators)

"When the light (of truth) enters the heart it expands and opens up." The Companions asked: "Is there any evidence of this (in the life of a Muslim)?" He replied: "Being ever mindful of the eternal life of the Hereafter, and remaining at guard in this life of delusion, and preparing oneself for death before it comes." This is reported by Ibn Jarir through different chains each of which strengthens the other.

Lesson 1 for you –
We are living on “terra firma”. AS SUCH .. beliefs should be formed on the basis of science and logic and should not be influenced by emotion, authority, tradition, or any dogma.

Question for you – You ask me to study the holy Quran. Give me 3 good reasons why I shouldn’t study the holy Bible, the Bhagavad-Gita, or the Tripitika?

Do you follow me? Or is it too much for you? I bet my last heels that now, you will go into your shell.

O people, a proof has come to you from your Lord; we have sent down to you a profound beacon.(4:174)

As you can see a scietific approach has been encouraged in the Quran with the objective of ascertaining its truthfulness. Compare it with established scientific facts and you wont see any contradiction in the quran. Here is an open challenge for u in the quran to study it to find any mistakes or contradiction.

2:
So, woe to those who distort the scripture with their own hands, then say, "This is what GOD has revealed," seeking a cheap material gain. Woe to them for such distortion, and woe to them for their illicit gains(2:79)

Study the bible, study all the scriptures this will only take u closer to the truth. And..

Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things.(2:256)

I wonder what would you do if today is your last day in this world..
think of this please..

Anonymous said...

@ Free thinker

If I may note the following. This is not put as a polemic – which I believe is not permitted in Islam. Just sharing with you my personal experience

1.
There is a big difference between reading a book for the sake of reading a book and reading a book with the object of leading your life according to it.

So for Muslims who are educated enough in the Coran and Hadis,I feel reading anything is fine because he is equipped with the criterion to distinguish RIGHT from WRONG – the Saint Coran

2.
The world has many books that are supposed to be from God. All these books are supposed to have been brought to mankind by some person.

Just to name a few – The Torat brought by Moses*, The Psalms brought by David*, The Evangels brought by Jesus* and the Coran brought by Muhammad*. The former 3 are placed in one collection, along with other books of unknown authors – called the Bible.

3.
The Bhagavad-Gita - we don’t know a person to whom to attribute it to. The Tripitika does not claim to be from God.

4.
None of these books SURVIVE IN THE ORIGINAL LANGUAGE OF its TRANSMISSION; we have translations or translations of a translation. NONE IN THE ORIGINAL LANGUAGE survives today. …. EXCEPT THE SAINT CORAN – revealed in Arabic, transmitted in Arabic and read in Arabic exactly how the prophet recited it. We have unbroken chains of transmission.

Further, EXCEPT THE SAINT CORAN. None of these books have a verifiable history of transmission attributable to historic persons with a name, and data about that person – EXCEPT FOR THE CORAN.

5.
None of these books EXCEPT THE SAINT CORAN has in its pages GOD UNDERTAKING TO SPECIFICALLY PROTECT THE SAINT CORAN FROM TAMPERING. This UNIQUE to Saint Coran

6. In the Saint Coran God speaks in the FIRST person and addresses MANKIND directly.

7.
Some of these books have historically verifiable instances of tampering – adding, deleting or changing the text. This applies specifically to the Bible. This is information that we get from universally acclaimed Bible experts and Critics WHO ARE NOT MUSLIMS.

These are some of the reasons why a Muslim DOES NOT AND SHOULD not read the Bible or the other holy books FOR GUIDENCE FROM GOD. Because SIMPLY THERE IS NO SOLID GUARANTEE THAT WHAT HE IS READING IS FROM GOD.

In the Saint Coran a Muslim HAS IRREFUTABLE PROOF that it’s from God, He has a verifiable historical account of its revelation and transmission, and has the names and data of the persons involved in its transmission. Muslims have a guarantee that every single word of its 6239 verses is from God, that the order of these words are exactly as Divinely ordained and revealed to HIS Messenger - pbuh.

Dear free thinker, :-)…. in this Muslims have empirical verifiable proof.

I for myself, I was interested in the Saint Coran, examined these proofs and satisfied myself of those proofs. This IS A VERY PERSONAL JOURNEY THAT ONE UNDERTAKES, ASKING FOR GODS HELP.

By Allah’s Grace I have NO DOUBT that the Saint Coran is From God, and the Copy I hold in my hand is exactly the ONLY Coran that prophet Muhammad –pbuh received from Angel Gabriel, the Angel of revelation; and faithfully transmitted to mankind.

God certainly Knows best.

This process deffinetely requires sincerity and dedication. I invite you to undertake the journey, asking God to Help you along the way.

God Bless!
